About Us…

Trisa Swerdlow

Arts Promoter,
Artist, Teacher

I am pleased to have been a part of The Arts Council of Placer County where I served as the Arts Engagement Programs Producer. In this capacity, I was responsible for coordinating with local businesses to feature art by local artists. This was a continuation of a personal project, “Local Business, Local Art” where I paired regional businesses with temporary art shows. At ACPC I also created a non-profit art gallery for the artists of Placer County, which I curated. In addition, I created events that featured local visual and performing arts. I have also worked on the Advisory Committee for the Placer Artists Studios Tour and have been a participant in that tour for six years. I am also very excited to be an appointee on The City of Rocklin's Art Task Force, where I coordinate public art projects as the artist liaison. The Art Task Force is responsible for conceiving of ways to connect the arts with the citizens of Rocklin and then bringing them to fruition. I am very passionate about bringing art to the community as well as creating opportunities for artists.

I have had the great privilege of working with two local galleries. I currently serve on the Board of Directors for High Hand Art Gallery in Loomis, where I have been a member for over four years. I also serve as Marketing Director for the gallery. I enjoy designing and managing all aspects of promotion, including: print ads, social media, video promotions, postcards and mailers. I also served as co-curator at my business partner Gini Crepps Gallery iQ in Rocklin. Together we developed a vibrant following for this small hidden treasure in Rocklin.

Artist Bio

I dabble in many different mediums. You may have seen the dress I made out of candy wrappers for the window of a candy store! But I started working in glass about eight years ago. Since then I have evolved from using studio time at the local glass studio and taking every class that I could find, to having my own glass studio and teaching classes myself. Although I generally work in glass, I also paint, sculpt and do photography. I enjoy using unconventional materials in my work.

Gini Crepps

Graphic Designer
Artist, Teacher

A native Californian, I have lived in the Sacramento area for over 40 years. I have been a graphic designer since 1975, and currently the owner of IQ Design, Inc. In 2013, I was very fortunate to open Gallery iQ ink Rocklin, CA…a dream come true…combining business and passion into one location in Rocklin, CA.

I have responded to color since I was a little girl – visually and emotionally – so after 25 years of being in graphics, I finally decided to follow a heartfelt passion and start painting.

Through classes and workshops, I began my journey discovering the what and how of painting...style, medium, light, value, composition, and the “magic” that makes a painting sing. “There is still so much more to explore!” What I discovered is that your medium is your voice...your sense of design and color is instrumental in determining your success.

I have been involved with Rocklin Fine Arts for over ten years, serving as president and vice president. I have participated in the Placer Arts Studio Tour, been an award winner at several regional shows, judged at the California State Fair Student Graphics venue, Western States Horse Expo Art Show, Vacaville Art League, Lincoln Arts, and led several different critique groups. I taught workshops and classes at Gallery iQ, and was instrumental in bringing national and international artists to teach workshops at the gallery. I have chaired, hosted and curated many shows throughout my art career. I am also one of the prestigious artists exhibiting at the High Hand Art Gallery, Loomis, CA, and Auburn Old Town Gallery, Auburn, CA.
